The IRFU has developed a range of videos to assist senior and junior players, coaches, referees and family members to understand the importance of recognising and properly managing players with concussion.
The IRFU has launched a video tutorial resource called TackleSMART which promotes correct and safe tackle technique for a variety of tackle scenarios.
Les Kiss, Pat Lam, Jacques Nienaber and Girvan Dempsey shared their expertise to illustrate how the correct tackle technique is also the safest tackle technique.
TackleSMART provides a suite of videos featuring minis, girls and youth players with clear and easy to understand technical direction on how to track an attacker and how to complete a front on tackle, a tackle from the side and a tackle from behind.
The videos are available on the IRFU website for coaches, parents and players to access at http://www.irishrugby.ie/rugbysmart/tacklesmart.php.
