On Tuesday 27th April, Community Sports Development Officers from Ulster Rugby, Irish FA and Ulster GAA delivered a highly successful online workshop on the theme of recruiting, retaining and rewarding volunteers along with information around the GoldMark Scheme for young volunteers.
This workshop was delivered as part of the PEACE IV-funded Sport Uniting Communities Project and was the 2nd of 3 workshops being delivered on the Volunteer Development strand of the project. Over 25 clubs from across the province took part with the sharing of best practice and building relationships across the three sports at the forefront of discussion.
The final workshop of the volunteer development programme will take place on Tuesday 25th May with the focus of this session being on succession planning and the year ahead.
Sport Uniting Communities is supported by the European Union’s PEACE IV Programme and managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
