Ulster Rugby are currently inviting applications for the post of Senior Team Physiotherapist.
The post holder will support the Lead Physiotherapist in the delivery of Physiotherapy services to the Ulster Senior team and the wider Academy and Age Grade systems, as required.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in Physiotherapy, be a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, and registered with the Health Professions Council and have training in Pitch Side Emergency Care to ICIS level 3, or a willingness to complete this training at the next available opportunity.
They must have a minimum 6 years full-time post graduate (or equivalent part-time) clinical experience as a Physiotherapist, and 4 of these years must be full-time (or equivalent part-time) working as a Physiotherapist in elite level sport.
Experience in elite level sport to include planning and delivering individualised plans for injured athletes to include detailed rehabilitation programmes and of developing and implementing innovative ideas and putting them into practice.
Flexibility is key as they should be available to work frequent irregular and unsocial hours, have the ability to travel abroad with the squad and must be eligible to live and work in the UK. They should have an ability to demonstrate up-to-date and advanced knowledge of Physiotherapy and rehabilitation techniques related to recent advances in musculoskeletal medicine in the sporting sphere.
