Ulster Rugby’s Men’s and Women’s teams will wear the same home jersey design for the first time in the province’s history over the coming season.
The home jersey, worn by the Men’s Team in 2019/20, will continue for a further season and will go back on sale from Friday via Official Kit Sponsor, Kukri Sports, in both men’s and women’s fit.
The new Ulster Women’s jersey, featuring Women and Girls sponsor Deloitte, will also go on sale for the first time from Friday in a limited range of sizes and in women’s fit only.
Terry Jackson, General Manager at Kukri Sports Ireland, said: “We were thrilled by the response from supporters to the home jersey last season, so it’ll be great to see both the Men’s and Women’s teams run out in the same design in 2020/21.
“We know from working with the team at Ulster Rugby, that the club is dedicated to growing the sport and encouraging diversity among its fan base and of those playing the game, so we’re delighted to play our part in supporting that ambition.”
Ulster Rugby CEO, Jonny Petrie, said: “Our Men’s and Women’s teams have the same pride in representing their province, so it’s only right that they have the equal honour of pulling on the same jersey.
“Kukri Sports have always had a commitment to providing a range of playing and leisurewear in women’s fit, but it’s particularly satisfying that our female supporters now have the choice of wearing the playing jersey of their chosen Ulster team.
“I’ve no doubt that this will be well received by all Ulster fans, and I hope it further demonstrates our commitment to the continued growth of the game at all levels across the province.”
