Banbridge RFC are inviting club members and supporters to an open evening at Rifle Park on Friday 22nd March 2019.
The club will be revealing their ambitious vision for the club and unveil exciting plans for the extensive redevelopment and expansion of the current club house and facilities at their Arderys Lane grounds.
Club President, Sam Grattan commented, “We are excited to communicate the future vision of the club to all those passionate about rugby in Banbridge and reveal the next part of Banbridge Rugby Football Club’s journey.”
The club was formed in 1926 and since that first team ran out in Banbridge the club has embraced every opportunity to evolve and expand. Always with the love of the game and the needs of the next generation at the centre of every decision.
The information evening will revisit memories of the club from over the past nine decades, reflecting on some of their key achievements and exploring the exciting and ambitious plans they have for the future.
“The club’s centenary is just seven years away and the executive committee want to ensure Banbridge have the best facilities to compete at the highest level of rugby in Ireland,” said Grattan.
“This is why we are embarking on this ambitious project and wish to get the whole club and wider Banbridge community behind it so that we have top class facilities for the whole community to enjoy and which will ultimately lay a secure path for the prosperity of the club and ensure that all our future needs are met.”
Drawings of the proposed works to the clubhouse will be on show, along with rugby development plans and key fundraising initiatives for the next three years.
The open evening is being held on Friday 22nd March 2019 at 8pm in the clubhouse. The evening will commence with a drinks reception at 8.00pm and close with a light supper around 9.15pm.
Anyone interested in attending should register their attendance with Honorary Club Secretary, Marc Eadie at firstname.lastname@example.org by Tuesday 19th March.
