History

The Nevin Spence Centre is a unique cultural museum that tells the story of the growth and development of rugby in Ulster and Ireland through a variety of interactive games and innovative displays. The Centre is open to the public Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm, and on selected Saturdays throughout the year, with the last admission being 3.30pm.

Built in commemoration of Ulster Rugby’s own Nevin Spence who tragically lost his life, along with his father and brother, in a farming accident in September 2012, the centre stands as a tribute to the huge impact the young player had on the Ulster Rugby family. His natural flair, commitment to and passion for the game are well documented throughout the museum and demonstrate the special Ulster charm which has captured so many.
