Ulster Ravens

The Ulster Ravens are Ulster Rugby's 'A' side, competing in the British & Irish Cup as well as having interprovincial fixtures against Munster, Leinster and Connacht.

The British & Irish Cup features 24 teams: 12 from the English RFU Championship, 6 from the Welsh Principality Premiership, 3 Irish provinces (Ulster, Munster, Leinster) and the top 3 finishers of Premier 1 in Scotland.

The 2011-12 format will have six pools of four and fixtures are cross-pool (Pool 1 v Pool 2, Pool 3 v Pool 4, Pool 5 v Pool 6).

Six pool winners plus two best runners-up progress to the quarter-finals.
Teams are seeded based on pool performance, with the top four gaining home advantage.
