Pedrie joined Ulster Rugby at the start of the 2010-11 season from the Blue Bulls. He is a big, versatile, back-row forward, who is also able to deputise in the second-row.
He made his debut for the Blue Bulls against the Golden Lions in 2001, stepping up to Super 12 level in 2002. Since his debut for the Blue Bulls, he has been a mainstay in one of the most dominant forward packs in world rugby for close to a decade. Testament to his form and durabilty, Pedrie played 99 consecutive Super Rugby games for the Bulls, amassing to a total of 113 Super Rugby caps.
Wannenburg's introduction to Super Rugby immediately brought him to the attention of the national selectors, and he made his Springbok Test debut against France at the Stade Vélodrome in November 2002. He has 20 Springbok caps to date.
In his first season with Ulster he again demostrated his durability and consistency by making 29 appearances for the Province.
