

Malone then stepped up for another penalty kick, 24 minutes into the first half, but kicked it wide. Then another blow to Ulster as Matt McCullough was sin binned for off-side in the 27th minute, leaving Ulster down to 14 men in the final stages of the first half.
Within a minute of McCullough's binning, South African Tom Williams scored Quin's second try, but again Malone's boot failed him for the conversion, the score sat at Harlequins 13:7 Ulster.
Harlequins stepped up the pace in the closing ten minutes taking the advantage and forcing Ulster's 14 men into a defensive position. Scrum half and eventual man of the match, Harlequin's Danny Care, broke through for the side's third try in the first half with 7minutes of normal game time left to play. The try was quickly converted by fly half Chris Malone which brought the score to Harlequins 20:7 Ulster. Ulster had a strong defence but when Harlequins were given an inch they took a mile and really exploited the extra man on the pitch.
Ulster's McCullough was back on the field for the last minutes of the first half, but just when Ulster were back to full strength a disputed penalty try was given against Ulster in the 40t minute of the first half, this brought the half time score to 27:7 thanks to Chris Malone's conversion of the penalty try.

The Ulster supporters had brought their Ravenhill Roar with them to Twickenham Stoop as the second half kicked off, out cheering the Quin's supporters with force.
The opening minutes of the second half saw Harlequins Mike Brown put the ball over the line for Quin's fifth try of the game, and Chris Malone stepped up to the mark and converted the try bringing the score board to Harlequins 34:7 Ulster.
In a reflection of the first half of this Heineken Cup clash, a Harlequins player Danny Care was sin-binned in the 51st minute, and Ulster came storming back with two tries.
The first try came at the hands of Ulster's Paddy Wallace in the 52nd minute, then the second, made by Ulster centre Darren Cave and touched down by Andrew Trimble in the 57th minute. Both tries were converted by Niall O'Connor to bring the score to Harlequins 34: 21Ulster.
An unhappy Harlequins, fought back for try number six by Tom Williams, which Malone failed to convert, leaving the score Harlequins 39:21 Ulster.
Chris Malone then put another 3 points on the board with a penalty kick in the 65th minute; the penalty took the score to Harlequins 42:21 Ulster.
Ulster remained defiant, pushing Harlequins back into their own half. Each side tussled for possession and used all their replacements, in this exciting and high tempo game, but despite a spirited attack by Ulster in the final quarter of the game, the score remained unchanged as the full time whistle was blown in front of the 12, 968 strong crowd.
