The Chairman of Ireland's RWC 2023 Bid Oversight Board, Dick Spring, today (Tuesday, November 15, 2017) formally announced Ireland's entry into the 'Candidate' phase of the selection process to determine the host for the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
The Pool Draw for the Women's Rugby World Cup 2017 took place today in Belfast City Hall and Ireland Women have been drawn into Pool C alongside Six Nations rivals France, who defeated Ireland in the 3rd/4th place play-off at the 2014 tournament as well as the Australian Wallaroos and Asia/Oceania 1, which will be the winners of a round robin tournament between Fiji, Japan and Hong Kong.
