The team is made up of Ulster players and Ulster Academy players and Gary Longwell spoke of the selection when he said
"This is a strong Ulster A side, Matt Williams was keen to have meaningful A fixtures and this game provides the chance for everyone involved to stake their claim in being part of the resurgent Ulster"
The side is captained by former Ireland U21 Captain Matt McCullough who is looking forward to the game
"It is exciting, having not played in a while it is good to be captaining a strong Ulster A side. This is a good opportunity for me and other players to get some game time and a great chance for some of the younger players to get experience alongside some more established players and I am looking forward to what should be a challenging but tough game"
