Each 'Associate Membership' is valid for three full seasons, and in order to maintain an 'Associate Membership' this MUST be renewed within the forth season. For example, anyone who has undertaken the 'Associate Referees Workshop' within the 2004-5 season will need to renew their membership by re-sitting the workshop within the 2008-9 season.
Failure to renew membership by any individual will result in your name being withdrawn from the database, and thus, you will no longer be considered an 'Associate Member'. You will not therefore be covered by IRFU insurance as an 'Associate Referee' for your club. It is the responsibility of your club to ensure that all Associate Referees renew their membership, thus maintaining their IRFU insurance cover.
