Pupils from Clifton Special School Learn Tag Rugby

During the course of the six weeks, Stevie used fun games and drills to teach the children the skills required for tag rugby. The students really enjoyed the fun and challenging lessons, and as the weeks progressed, their enthusiasm for the game grew, as they mastered the skills involved.

It was this enthusiasm that, for Stevie, really made working with these children such a rewarding and worthwhile experience. He commented: "The pupils really enjoyed their six weeks of Tag Rugby and I was able to use the skills I've learned during my three years as a development officer to make the sessions as enjoyable and worthwhile as possible for these pupils. Their excitement to get going each week was always evident, and at the beginning of each session, I was always greeted with a warm welcome from the class. I'd like to thank David Titterington and the rest of the staff for giving me the opportunity to coach at the school and for helping out during my time there."
