Summer Camp Staff Wanted!
The IRFU (Ulster Branch) would like to hear from people interested in being part of the team that delivers the 2010 Ulster Rugby Summer Camps, which are sponsored by independent retail group Centra.
Last year's Summer Camps came to a total of sixteen locations province-wide over an 8 week period, and were attended by almost 1,200 boys and girls who learned new skills and made lasting friendships. Centra retailers in every corner of Northern Ireland showed their support by visiting the camps each week.
While the details of the 2010 camps have yet to be finalised, the IRFU Ulster Branch is currently seeking expressions of interest for the following positions:
- Summer Camp Coaches- with opportunities for employment ranging from 3 to 8 weeks
- Managers for individual camps, who should be available for the duration of the camps.
Barry Willis, Community Rugby Manager for the IRFU (Ulster Branch) said; "We are pleased to be able to offer people the opportunity to become involved in the 2010 Summer Camps team. There will be various opportunities for staff to develop their skills in working with young people and also for helping the children who take part to develop new skills of their own. It is extremely rewarding work and we look forward to hearing from interested candidates."
All staff must be appropriately qualified and have experience of coaching rugby to children aged between 6 and 13 years of age by the time the camps commence. Successful applicants will be subject to an Access NI check.
Provisional dates for the 2010 Ulster Rugby Summer Camps are Monday 5 July to Friday 27 August, 2010. To register your interest please email Barry Willis at barryw@ulsterrugby.com and include details of the post you would be interested in along with your coaching qualifications and experience.
