The Cregagh Red Sox will have two teams at the Brewin Dolphin Youth Cup Finals this year
Following the Under 17s victory at Ballymoney last Wednesday night, Malone Under 15s made it through to join them at Ravenhill by defeating Ballynahinch at Ballymacarn Park on Thursday.
Both games were tightly contested, each ending in a winning margin of just 3 points, the U17s went through 18-15 whilst the U15s scraped home 10-7. These results set up some exciting prospects for Malone in the weeks ahead. The U15 squad is made up of most of last years U14 League and Cup Double winning squad. They play Randalstown on 24th in this year's League Final. Victory against their Co. Antrim rivals will keep them on course for their second double in two seasons when they face Banbridge in the cup.
On top of that there is of course the hope of a double win at Ravenhill if the U17s can also defeat Portadown. The record for this season points to three very close matches ahead. The only certainty is that Malone will be there in numbers with the full support of their club behind them!
