Women's rugby in Ulster is continuing to grow steadily, with the increase in adult teams and youth rugby being the main success stories in recent years. Seven years ago, there was limited work being done in schools, no youth teams and only two adult clubs in the province. Today, there are over 40 schools taking part in the Girls' Schools' Cup, as well as 8 strong youth teams and an increase in participation in the game as a whole.
The Ulster Branch currently employs one dedicated full time member of staff working within the women's game whose main role is to drive the growth of women's rugby in Ulster.
