The High Schools' Year 8 finals took place recently at Banbridge RFC. The finals day comprised of 16 schools from around the province. They competed in a 4 pool format featuring the following schools

The day was a great success with all teams involved displaying fantastic team and individual skills, commitment and tremendous enthusiasm.
The 4 pool winners played off in a semi final with Dromore facing Clounagh and Lurgan facing Downshire.
After a golden try playoff Downshire came through their semi final to face Dromore in the final.
The final showpieced some exciting rugby played with great adventure and ambition and in a close contest it was Downshire that came out victorious by 4 tries to 3.
Congratulations to all schools who competed in the qualifiers and finalsand all the teachers, coaches and parents with their continued support.
