The night was made all the more special when five of the Ulster players assisted in the modelling. Ryan Caldwell, Isaac Boss (Taggers club patron), Paddy Wallace, Tom Court and Simon Danielli came along on the night, and as well as modelling, they stayed behind to sign autographs and have photographs taken- a real credit to Ulster rugby. However, everyone agreed that the Ulster players and other models were upstaged by the Taggers themselves, as they brought the house down with their unique modelling style!
The aim of the evening was to raise funds for the Taggers' upcoming tour to Swansea, and on the night over £4000 was raised. Organisers were delighted by the response and expressed their gratitude for the amazing generosity by so many. Indeed over £2500 of prizes were donated by numerous people. There are too many people to mention individually, but a big Taggers thank you to them all.
Marks and Spencer Manager, Lee Cutler and all his staff deserve a special mention as without Marks and Spencer's generosity and the staff giving of their own time this event would not have taken place. So thank you, and off course Jayne and all her staff at Newforge.
The Taggers are continuing to go from strength to strength, and a huge part of their success is down to the people who turn up to these fundraising events and give their support.
The Newforge Taggers meet every Sunday morning from 10.00-11.15am during various times of the year. If you have a family member, relative or friend who would like to join the club, why not come up and see what it's about.
