In what is traditionally the busiest time of year for schools' rugby, high schools around the province are preparing for the most prestigious event in their season: the Northern Bank Under 16 High Schools' Trophy.
Máire Cahill

All 5 clubs in Donegal were represented along with other members from City of Derry, Ballyclare, Ballymoney and even Greystones in Wicklow. Many of the coaches were new to the game through their childrens involvement at local clubs. The courses have aimed to give the participants the basic knowledge needed to coach at Mini Level, 7 12 age groups and Foundation Level 13 16 years.
All involved with the Donegal Project wish the new coaches the best of luck for next season and hope to see them at the workshops being run next season to further their development as rugby coaches.
Anyone wishing to attend the next Mini or Foundation courses held in the county is advised to send a request to info@donegalcommunityrugby.com.jpg)
