Jess Limbert and Amy Davis Selected for Ireland Squad
29 January 2008, 11:26 am
By Maire Cahill
Congratulations to Amy Davis and Jess Limbert who have been named on the 22 Irish squad for this week’s Six Nations opener against Italy at St. Mary’s RFC
Both girls, who play for Cooke and Ulster, were selected for trials following the Inter-provincials and succeeded in being selected for the Irish squad.

Jess is the current Ulster Captain and made her Irish debut last season, starting in all of Ireland’s Six Nations’ encounters. The Ulster hooker is the only starting Ulster player for Friday’s match. Since her inclusion in the squad, Jess has been a hugely influential figure, setting very high standards, and playing with consistently strong performances to date.

Amy attends Jordanstown University, and since her return from Australia, has had a very successful Ulster campaign. The sister of Jonny Davis, a member of the Ulster Senior Strength and Conditioning team; Amy will hopefully gain her first cap this weekend.

We would like to congratulate both players on their selection and wish them and the rest of the squad every success in this year's Six Nations campaign.
