Coach Nathan Moore with the girls at the 2nd training session of the Ulster Womens Development Squad
After the success of the inaugural Ulster Womens Development Squad training session back in April, the numbers have since soared and the future of womens rugby in Ulster looks brighter than ever.
Friday the 18th May saw the second Ulster Development Squad session with numbers exploding from 18 in the first session to a grand total of 28 players all wishing to further their rugby skills and knowledge and apparently there are more to come. It should be noted that this is just the East of the province which has started as the West Development Squad has yet to commence. This is a huge boost to the Ulster Women’s Inter-Provincial squad as more numbers will produce more competition and hopefully will prove to be vital in the push in that all important title for Inter-Pro champions. The playing numbers in the Ulster set-up have now reached over 50 which will be fantastic for the future of the Ulster Women’s Rugby.

The next session is planned for the 15th June and for details on the venue and how to join the squad can be found by emailing ulsterwomensrugby@hotmail.com.
