Wallace opened the scoring in the 4th minute after a great run from Captain Garry Crow resulted in a try, Wallace fullback Philip Wilson did not convert the try. Moments later Portora were awarded a penalty for a Wallace infringement but Portora fly half Paul Galbraith was unable to convert the penalty and the score remained at 5-0 to Wallace. Galbraith showed his determination in the15th minute making a break and dodging several Wallace players, however Wallace turned the ball over and Portora were the victims of a sustained attack pushing the Portora defence to the limit.
Wallace were awarded a penalty following an Portora infringement, Wallace fullback Philip Wilson converted the penalty with great ease taking the score to 8-0 in the 18th minute. Wallace continued to apply pressure to Portora and in the 35th minute Wallace were awarded another penalty which Wilson slotted between the posts leaving the half time score at 11-0.

Portora came back into the second half more brightly with Paul Galbraith tipping over a penalty in the 38th minute. This however was to be the first and last score for the Fermanagh side as Wallace continued to dominate the game. After a superb attack, Wallace inside centre Matthew Arneill got a try in the 43rd minute, which was converted by Philip Wilson. Portora were then dealt another blow when their scrum half was sent off in the 53rd minute for stamping. Wallace continued their good form had some fantastic attacking phases of play stretching the width of the pitch; hopes were raised when a Wallace player crossed the line but the referee deemed that the ball had been held up and a scrum was awarded. In the 62nd minute, Michael McClean scored a try and although the conversion was missed this was soon forgotten when the outstanding full back Philip Wilson scored a try and added the conversion leaving the score 30-3 in the dying minutes of the game. Finally in the 70th minute, a Portora pass was intercepted by Wayne Hughes who then scored an excellent try which was converted by Philip Wilson leaving the final score 37-3.
Wallace are now in the final of the Schools cup on the 19th March at Ravenhill and their opponents will be decided tomorrow when Methody and RBAI come together for the 2nd Semi Final at Ravenhill.
