Humphreys put Ulster into the lead in the sixth minute of the game with a penalty kick into the wind. Connacht then replied with two penalties from outhalf Paul Warwick.
The first try of the match went Ulster's way, with David Humphreys beginning a move, which led to a kick through from Kieran Campbell, collected by winger Tommy Bowe to score.
Humphreys converted from the touchline to give Ulster a 10-6 lead.
Connacht then cut Ulster's lead to a point with another penalty from Paul Warwick.

With the wind behind them in the second half, Humphreys added another penalty, and then once again began the movement that led to Ulster's second try.
Humphreys put through a kick for centre Paul Steinmetz to score, and then added the conversion.
Connacht then fought back with Bernard Jackman crossing the try line. Connacht failed to convert.
In injury time, Humphreys again successfully kicked a penalty, to give Ulster victory and deny Connacht a bonus point.
Ulster now move up to Sixth place in the Celtic League table.
