Each week, on average, Academy players will have two strength and conditioning sessions, one technical session and some video analysis work as part of their Academy programme each week. In addition to this they will have a technical session with their own rugby club and typically play a match each Saturday.
As well as strength and conditioning training, sports analysis, sports nutrition, Academy athletes also receive advice and guidance on their performance lifestyle management. The Ulster Rugby Academy is excited about the prospect of the new High Performance facilities at Jordanstown which are set to include:
· Rubber crumbed indoor artifical surface
· Indoor and outdoor athletics sprint facility
· Indoor throw and jumps area
· Strength Training facility
· Sports Science provision
· Changing facilities and a recovery suite
