Palmer first got involved in rugby when he was 12 years old in year 8 at Regent House School. He played for the 1st XV for three years and went on to play Ulster and Irish schools. Palmer enjoys his job because it allows him to help develop player’s talents and get people involved in rugby, which is essential for the future of the sport in Ulster.  He says that developing new players at all levels is crucial and his role as CRDO enables him to improve the standard of rugby by helping to build upon young players talents within the game.
