Máire was educated at Our Lady's Grammar School, Newry before moving on to the University of Ulster Jordanstown where she completed a BA (Hons) in Business Studies and a MSc in Communication, Advertising and PR.

Máire joined the Branch in January 2008 and is responsible for the promotion and publicity of all Domestic Rugby. Máire is the main media contact for the Ulster Branch and is also responsible for the day-to-day running of the Ulster Branch website
