Tom Court, a tighthead prop from Australia joined Ulster Rugby ahead of the start of the 2006-07 season.
Previously a top athlete, Court (24), who is Irish qualified for rugby, was one of the best shot-putters in Australia and is a relative newcomer to rugby union having begun playing the code whilst studying at the University of Queensland three years ago. From there he was invited to join the Queensland Reds rugby academy, and has since played for Queensland A and NPC side Manawatu before returning to Australia to feature in the Queensland Reds Super 14 squad earlier last season.
Tom arrived in Belfast in May 2006 and before getting the opportunity to compete for Ulster, was taken to the USA and Canada as part of the Ireland A Churchill Cup Squad. Tom was loaned to Pertemps Bees for a few months and has since returned to Ulster with more experience to carry forward to the 2007/08 season.
