| The camps, sponsored by retail group, Centra, have successfully continued this week with boys and girls at both camps enjoying learning new rugby skills and making new friends in the good weather. Feedback from the camp managers has been very positive and there has been a great turnout by children aged 6-13 at both camps. Children are divided into groups, depending on their age and rugby ability and experienced coaches teach them a variety of skills and games.
The highlight of the week was a visit from the Ulsyer Rugby players. Paul McKenzie and Declan Fitzpatrick called to Pirrie Park to see how the children from the Methody camp were getting along, while Seamus Mallon and Daniel Roach travelled to Enniskillen. The players took a question and answer session, where the children were able to quiz them about life as a professional player; and they signed autographs and had pictures taken with the children attending.
Let's hope that the good weather continues for the remainder of the summer camps. A number of places still remain at all camps, except for Campbell College, which is now full. Anyone interested in reserving a place for their child is encouraged to do so as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
