| The children attending the Belfast Harlequins Summer Camp this week got a real treat yesterday when Ulster players Andrew Trimble and Justin Fitzpatrick called in to the club to answer questions and sign autographs.
The first of this year's Ulster Rugby Summer Camps, sponsored by Centra kicked off at Belfast Harlequins this week, and feedback so far has been great. Almost 90 children aged 6-13 came along to Harlequins this week and have been divided into various coaching groups depending on their age. With experienced coaches demonstrating the skills of rugby, the children have been taking part in fun games and practising the various elements of the game of rugby.
Andrew Trimble and Justin Fitzpatrick arrived at the club at lunch time yesterday, much to the delight of the children. Both players signed autographs and spoke about their experiences of playing rugby for Ulster and Ireland. Next it was the turn of the children to put their questions to both players and get a better picture of life as a professional rugby player. Once the questions had been answered, the players had photos taken with some of the children and Centra representatives, and then they watched the kids practising their newly- developed rugby skills.
In what was undoubtedly the highlight of the week so far, the children thoroughly enjoyed their visit from the two players and are now keen to put their new rugby skills into practice in the future.
There are still a number of places remaining at some of the Summer Camps- for more information on these camps or to book a place, please contact Ravenhill on 028 90493111 or CLICK HERE to download an application form.
