Ulster’s Ferris replaces the injured David Wallace on Ireland Team

Ulster’s Paddy Wallace and Rory Best have again been named on the starting XV for Ireland’s match against Australia in Melbourne on Saturday.  They will now been joined by Ulster’s Stephen Ferris, who has been called up to replace the injured David Wallace among the replacements.

Leinster flanker Shane Jennings has been promoted to the starting side for Ireland in place of the injured David Wallace.  David Wallace had picked up a calf strain and following a fitness test this morning, Wallace was ruled out of the game by the Ireland team medical staff.  With Jennings starting at openside for Ireland, his position among the replacements was taken by Ulster’s Ferris, who was a late call up to the squad for the injured Alan Quinlan.
