ULSTER PLAYERS NAMED ON IRELAND TEAM TO TAKE ON THE ALL BLACKS
4 June 2008, 10:50 am
By Christine McNally
Ulster captain Rory Best and fly half Paddy Wallace, have been named on the team sheet for the Ireland V New Zealand game, this Saturday 7th June at Westpac Stadium, Wellington, KO 19.35hrs (Local time). Recently departed Ulster man Tommy Bowe is also named in the starting line-up.
Brian O'Driscoll will captain the Irish side in the opening game of Ireland's summer tour.  The Ireland captains selection in the side allows the new centre partnership with Luke Fitzgerald, which was originally selected for the recent Barbarians game, make its belated debut.

Overall the side sees a number of changes from the Barbarians game after the inclusion of 13 Munster players in the touring squad following the Heineken Cup Final.  Seven of the pack are all Munster based and all played in the final, with Leinster No.8 Jamie Heaslip the only non Munster player in the starting eight.  Jerry Flannery also returns to the side at hooker after missing the entire RBS Six Nations Championship to make it all Munster front row.

Robert Kearney retains the full back position he occupied against the Barbarians ahead of Girvan Dempsey and Eoin Reddan comes into the team after joining the squad on Monday afternoon following the Guinness Premiership final.
