| In a recent U16 friendly fixture played at Banbridge RFC, Banbridge H.S played Abbey Grammar in what proved to be a very entertaining match, with both teams trying to move the ball in good conditions. The Abbey were hoping to test themselves against a much stronger Banbridge team who were one of the semi finalists in this year's High Schools Cup, losing out to eventual winners, Dromore H.S. Despite Banbridge H.S. emerging as eventual winners, the Abbey played some very impressive rugby. The full time score was Banbridge H.S. 41-24 Abbey G.S.

For Banbridge, outside centre, Adamson was a constant threat, as his 3 scores demonstrated. 2nd row, Martin had a strong game and was rewarded with a score, and backrower Bird also scored and had a very strong game. For the Abbey, scrumhalf, Delahunt was busy throughout and was rewarded with 2 tries, along with hooker, Oozerally who also scored after an impressive game of rugby. Mark Cox, who came on as a replacement, managed a score, and outhalf, Marshall dictated play throughout.
