Ulster full back Bryn Cunningham
Bryn Cunningham Talks to www.Ulsterrugby.com
3 April 2008, 3:21 pm
By Stacey Ferguson
With the Ulster Rugby squad counting down to their next home match against Connacht, Ulster full back Bryn Cunningham has spoken to www.ulsterrugby.com about training this week and the build up to match day.
With Connacht propping up the Mangers League table, Cunningham who has started 12 matches so far this season will hope to be included in this highly anticipated interpro match and believes that despite two away defeats the sides confidence has not suffered.

“Munster and Ospreys away were always going to be two of the hardest matches this season regardless of our position in the table,” said Bryn “they are two very strong sides. It hasn't affected the mood or morale in training, we were disappointed not to come away with a win but we have to put it behind us, work hard and continue to improve.”

Despite Connacht’s position in the League their match against Munster at the weekend was closely contested with only a late try from Munster’s Doug Howlett in the 78th minute extending their small lead. “Connacht are a very good collective side, they are solid throughout. They gave Munster a scare and considering the form that Munster are in it was a great performance. They play a very direct style so obviously we’ll be keeping that in mind when we take them on."

The Ulster back emphasised that the team will adopt the same attitude as they have in the past, with every point counting as the season draws to a close.  “When the team runs out next Friday we will be treating it as we do any other match- we will be going out to give it our best and hope to get a positive result. Every match this season has been an important one, yes, because of our position in the Magners League this match has drawn a lot of attention but we still have to play 5 matches this season so each is as important as the next. Connacht will not be a ‘do or die’ scenario but it will be nice to be back out at Ravenhill, the support is always fantastic and is definitely appreciated.”
