For Lisneal, this was a totally new experience, reaching the final for the first time, and it was just a shame weather conditions at Ravenhill could not have been better to ensure everyone enjoyed a day out. As it was, the gale force wind was to dictate proceedings and it was the new boys in town who faced the elements, and did well to contain the champions - going for their fifth success in a row - to two tries.
Centre, Cory Linton gave Dromore a seventh minute lead after a poor clearance and 10 minutes later, impressive prop, Chris Taylor claimed a try after Dromore had kicked to touch and from a catch and drive, the lineout thrower crossed. Both conversions were missed by man of the match, Chris Leathen.
In the second half, Lisneal worked hard, but found Dromore hard to break down. Chris McDonald and Craig Huey stood out amongst their strong pack. But Dromore still enjoyed a lot of territorial possession and forced over for a third unconverted try through outhalf, Andrew Morrison. The Londonderry boys never gave up and deservedly got a consolation score from a well worked move which resulted in centre, Andrew Bratton going over and captain, Stuart Simpson converting
