Ulster scrum half Kieran Campbell will be leaving Ravenhill at the end of this season to join Connacht.

Campbell has been a great servant to Ulster Rugby over the last seven years winning over 100 Caps and will be fondly remembered by the Ravenhill faithful for, amongst other things, a superb individual try he scored against Stade Francais in the Heineken Cup match in December 2004.

Kieran said this today of his departure, “I have had a fantastic seven years with Ulster Rugby and have enjoyed my time here immensely. Both my wife and I are from London and we have really enjoyed living here and being in Belfast."

"From a playing point of view I have had some fantastic times with Ulster but obviously with professional sport being as it is, it moves on and I am now looking forward to new challenges and new opportunities with Connacht."

"I would like to thank everyone at Ulster Rugby, the players, management, staff and the supporters for all my time here and I wish Ulster all the best for the future unless they are playing against Connacht!”
