The IRFU Management Committee has confirmed that the Magners League game against Munster will be played on either Friday 25th April or Tuesday 29th April...
The IRFU Management Committee has confirmed, despite representations from Ulster Rugby, that the Magners League match against Munster which was postponed on Friday 4th January due to adverse weather conditions will now be played at Ravenhill on either Friday 25th April (ko 7.30pm) or Tuesday 29th April (ko 7.00pm).
Should Munster progress to the semi-final stages of the Heineken Cup, which are to be played on the weekend of the 25th-27th April, the match will be played on Tuesday 29th April, however, if they are knocked-out of the competition at the quarter-final stage the match will go ahead on Friday 25th April.
The actual date of the match will be confirmed on Monday 8th April following the Heineken Cup quarter-finals.
If you hold a ticket for this match dated 4th January please be advised that it will now be valid for either date and will not need to be re-issued. Please read on for important information regarding refund procedure.
Ulster Rugby would like to thank supporters who have purchased tickets for this match for their patience thus far and ask you to bear with us in the coming days as we endeavour to process refunds as efficiently as possible. We hope to see as many of you at Ravenhill on either Fri 25th or Tues 29th April as possible as we will need your support for this crucial match.
Q: I can’t attend the match on either of those dates – can I get a refund?
A: THE REFUND PERIOD FOR THIS FIXTURE HAS NOW CLOSED.
Refunds were available from Tuesday 12th Feb – Fri 22nd February. In order to accommodate customers unable to apply during office hours the Ravenhill office also opened from 10am – 12noon on Saturday 16th February and opened late until 8pm on Thursday 21st February and following the final whistle in Ulster v Dragons on Friday 15th Feb. Refunds via post were also processed.
Q: If the match is played on the Friday it suits me, but the Tuesday is no good – can I get a refund once the actual date is confirmed?
A: Unfortunately not – the refund period is now over and was between 12th-22nd February.
Ulster Rugby made every available effort ensure that ticket holders were made aware of the refund period including taking an advert with the Belfast Telegraph, media coverage, prominent information available on http://www.ulsterrugby.com/ and ezines to ticket buyers who had supplied email addresses.
This situation is far from ideal for us, particularly as it means that no matter what day the game is played we are facing four home matches within five weeks. With tickets for so many different matches for sale in such a short period of time we unfortunately do not have the resources to offer an additional refund period once the match date is confirmed on 8th April.
We hope that supporters will understand our constraints and that most will be able to come to the game no matter what day it is played. This game was very nearly a sell-out in January and will two full-strength sides on show should an excellent match.
Q: I want to attend the game no matter what day it's played, is the ticket still valid?
A: Yes. Any tickets issued for the match to be played on 4th January which was subsequently postponed are valid.
Q: My ticket is for the Memorial Stand – will it still be in operation for this game?
A: Unfortunately, the postponement of the Ulster vs Munster fixture until April, means that the Memorial Stand will not now be in place for this match, as the seating and structure have been booked for another event at this time. Ulster Rugby offers you its most sincere apologies for this, and would like to offer you the following arrangements regarding your ticket(s) for this match.
· Ulster Rugby will run a refund/exchange period for ticket holders for the Memorial Stand from Monday 10th March to Friday 21st March from the Ravenhill Ticket office by calling in person with your tickets. The office is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
· If you are not able to get to Ravenhill you can post your tickets back to us at Ravenhill, including your name and day-time contact number so that we can call you to get your card details to issue the refund. However, the tickets must be with us by 21st March and Ulster Rugby cannot accept any responsibility for tickets that do not arrive in time or get lost in the post.
· If you are not in possession of your tickets (if you were due to collect them at the turnstiles on the evening of the match), we can still organise one of the arrangements listed below, as your tickets are still being held at Ravenhill. The telephone number is 028 90 493222 option 2.
· Ulster Rugby will offer you a full refund (including booking fee) on your tickets should you not be able to attend the match on the rearranged date or if you do not require tickets for elsewhere in the ground.
· Ulster Rugby has a very limited number of tickets in the Main Stand. Should you wish to upgrade your ticket from the Memorial Stand, this will be done on a first come first served basis, with an additional upgrade charge.
· Should you wish to change your Memorial Stand ticket for a Promenade ticket, of which there is also very limited availability, you can exchange your ticket and you will receive a partial refund for the difference in ticket price.
· Should you wish to change your Memorial Stand ticket for a Terrace ticket, you can exchange your ticket and you will receive a partial refund for the difference in ticket price.
Q: I didn’t get a ticket for the January date – can I buy one now?
A: Should there be any tickets remaining for the match once the refund period is over and Memorial Stand issue is resolved these will be available for sale. Details will be posted on http://www.ulsterrugby.com/
Q: I was meant to collect my ticket at the gate on the 4th January – how can I get my tickets now/how can I get a refund?
A: We have been holding these tickets since the fixture was postponed.
If you did not refund your tickets we will assume that you wish to receive the tickets and these will be posted to you this week.
Once again, thank you for your patience, if you have any questions that are not answered above please contact our ticket office on 028 9049 3222.
