| Ulster Rugby last month confirmed the appointment of Matt Williams as the club's Head Coach on a two and a half year contract. Previously Head Coach at Leinster in which he led the province to Celtic League honours as well as a Heineken Cup quarter-final and semi-final, Williams was head-hunted for and accepted an international coaching appointment with the SRU in 2004, but as the first overseas coach of the Scottish national team was often seen as controversial in his approach and lost his job in April 2005.
He then returned to Australia where he has been coaching West Harbour RFC in Sydney. Matt has already spent some time with the players and backroom staff during a short visit to Belfast in early January and returns to the province in the next few days to take up his full responsibilities from Monday 4th February, when he will seek to renew Ulster’s fortunes in the first match of their 2008 league campaign.
There will be a finger buffet and a Prize Draw for a pair of Stand Tickets for the Scotland Game. Cusack Stand, Block 709. This draw is open to all club members attending. Non members are very welcome to join on the night.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to meet our new coach and hear first hand of his views on the future of Ulster Rugby.
