Enjoy a Great Christmas Night Out at Ravenhill Tonight!
14 December 2007, 11:27 am
By Stacey Ferguson
As Ulster Rugby prepare for their second Heineken cup clash against Ospreys in as many weeks Ulster supporters are preparing themselves for a great festive night out at Ravenhill.
This is the last Friday night clash before the Christmas holidays and the New Year so it’s the perfect opportunity to get behind the team and enjoy a Christmas night out with a difference. Gates open at 6.30pm with kick off at 8pm so wrap up warm and come along early because to get you into the festive spirit the first 3,000 supporters through the gates will receive their complementary Santa hat!

That’s not all! A pipe band will be performing on the pitch before kick off and again at half time. If your more of a Guinness Tent or Scoop Bar regular you can also enjoy live music while you soak up the Ravenhill atmosphere and to ensure you don't miss a moment of the action the big-screen will be in operation for those all important instant replays.

Both sides will be running out with a point to prove to their supporters and despite a poor result at the Liberty Stadium last week Ulster have won their last two home matches against the Ospreys- their most recent less than three months ago.

Ospreys Head Coach, Lyn Jones has taken confidence from the result and for only the second time in the club’s history an unchanged team will travel to Belfast for the second clash.

The Ulster side set to run out at Ravenhill tonight will include six changes from last week including Niall O’Connor set to start in the number 10 jersey. Niall, who is an exciting prospect for Ulster has been thrust into the spotlight this season. He came on as a replacement against the Ospreys last week and Ulster Caretaker Coach Steve Williams is keen to give him the chance to build on his performance saying this week , “Niall has looked good when he has played and I just feel that this is the time to give him an opportunity at this level to see what he can do.”

If you haven't already picked up your tickets you will be able to purchase tickets on the gate this evening.

Ulster Rugby are also giving you the chance to win an early Christmas present with out 'Twelve Days of Christmas' offer. CLICK HERE for more details on how you could win exclusive Ulster Rugby goodies when you buy your Ulster v Munster match tickets!
