While raising funds is an important aspect of the IRFU Charitable Trust Day, the primary aim of the day is to raise awareness of the Trust in Ulster and the work that it does to assist and support those players who have been seriously injured through playing rugby. There are 34 seriously injured players registered with the Charitable Trust, 13 of which are based in Ulster.
The Charitable Trust is partly funded by a grant from the IRFU along with various fundraising efforts and donations and therefore relies heavily on the generosity of the Rugby public.
There are less than 2 weeks left to organise events within your club on the 24th November and the Ulster Branch encourages you to make every effort to promote the Charitable Trust and to come on board for this one day to raise money for this incredibly worthy Charity.
