| Following the teams defeat against France at the weekend Ireland will now have to score four tries and beat Argentina by more than seven points in their final match to reach the quarter-finals.
Geordan Murphy is named at full back in place of Girvan Dempsey and Denis Hickie returns to the team instead of Andrew Trimble, who is named in the replacements.
There are two vacancies left for the hooker positions in the starting side and also on the bench, as both Jerry Flannery and Rory Best are recovering from injuries they picked up. The final two spots will be named later in the week as soon as medical clearance for the players is confirmed.
