Bangor and City Of Derry Host Foundation Courses

By Paula Gunn
The IRFU (Ulster Branch) recently ran two foundation courses which were held at Bangor RFC and City of Derry RFC.
The Foundation Course is an introduction to the 15 a side game for coaches and helpers with limited experience in rugby (12-16 years).  Safety and enjoyment are in the main themes of the course, and therefore the course is suited for people working with pre-teenage and adolescent players.

Ulster Branch rugby development staff delivered the courses to 64 dedicated schools and club coaches and were delighted with the wealth of knowledge and experience of those who attended.

Darryl Callaghan Course Director would like to thank all participants, staff and tutors involved in both courses and a special thanks must also go to Bangor and City of Derry for the use of their facilities.
