Injuries to Will Stewart and James Sandford means Ballymena’s Andy Moore come into the centre and Alistair Birch moves from the back row to 2nd row with David Bradford coming into the back row. Former Ulster Under 19 captain David Johnston comes in at No 8 for James Elliott who moves to the bench.
Ballymena’s Matt Burke and Malone’s Desi Fusco come into the replacements panel as does Rainey’s Colm Heaney who replaces the injured Connor Browne.
Commenting on the changes, McKibbin does not believe that the side has been weakened in any way. “We have been working together as a squad for 2 months now and that has involved ensuring that we had the necessary contingency in place to cover injuries to any of the players. This is a 4 match series of back to back matches and we were always liable to pick up injuries, particularly given the intensity of the games.”
“We had a good performance last Saturday but that counts for nothing now as our focus is solely on the next game. Connaught will present a new challenge which the teams will have to rise to and meet.”
The match kicks–of at 2.30pm this Saturday at Shaws Bridge. Fans are encouraged to come and support the Under 20s before going to Ravenhill to watch the Ulster v Gloucester game at 6.30
