
Matt who played for Northampton Saints for 5 seasons before joining Pertemps Bees 3 seasons ago is delighted with his move to Ulster and said this :

Obviously I have been playing in National One for 3 seasons but I have been looking for a bigger club and having watched Ulster in the Magners League and Heineken Cup I am delighted to be joining the squad. Ulster is a big club with big aspirations and high hopes for the incoming season and I am really looking forward to working with Steve Williams again"
Matt who is on a one year contract will replace Ulster's summer signing Neil Hanna who is out for the season after suffering a cruciate knee injury in a training ground accident.
Matt who will be 26 this December represented Wales at Under 21 level has one more game to play with the Bees today and then will join the Ulster squad on Sunday for the pre season camp in Portugal and will be available for selection for the Ulster v Gloucester game on Saturday at Ravenhill.
