Funded by the Department of Social Development, this scheme sees kids aged 5-14 years old taking part, including a remarkable number of girls, and has been a big hit each year.  Up to 130 kids turn up each day and they have half hour sessions with the various sports on offer including: camogie, hurling, gaelic football, football rounders and rugby.

This is the second year that rugby has been included in the scheme and the Ulster Branch is delighted to be involved.  Many of the participants who come along have no prior experience of rugby therefore it is a great opportunity to reach a new audience and introduce them to the game in a fun environment. 

The introduction of rugby to the scheme came as a result of the increased interaction between rugby and gaelic football in the locality, from club and school level right up to county level.  Many of the skills needed for rugby and gaelic football are transferable and both sports have realised the mutual benefits of that.
