The inaugural IRFU summer tag has been a huge success with a large number of teams taking part and a great turn out each week of both teams and supporters.  The finals are set to take place next week and the arrangements are as follows: Teams who normally play on Thursdays will have their Finals on TUESDAY 24th July. Teams who normally play on Wednesdays will have their Finals on THURSDAY 26th July.

Fighting for the 1st place prize last night, Social "A" League teams Mengal Taggers and The Thundercats battled it out in an exciting game which saw the Mengal Taggers with a 13-9 lead at half time.  The Thundercats however had their sights firmly set on that 1st place position and came back fighing in the 2nd half to win 28-19.  The Mengal Taggers finished in 4th place and now have a play-off on Tuesday night to decide if they finish in 3rd/4th place.  But before they face that test they are off to Clifden in Connemarra, County Galway this weekend to defend their title of Social "A" Cup winners in a Beach Tag Rugby Festival.
