McCall names team for final game of the season
10 May 2007, 11:17 am
By Anne Perry
Mark McCall today named his starting fifteen to take on Edinburgh on Friday night at Ravenhill
McCall has named current Irish International Paddy Wallace at number 10 to allow Wallace to get some game time at fly half ahead of the Irish tour to Argentina in a fortnight's time,  David Humphreys is named on the bench. Bryn Cunningham is ruled out with a back injury so Tommy Bowe moves to full back which is the position he played throughout school. Paul McKenzie will start on the right wing and Darren Cave is named on the replacements bench.

Ireland A's newest recruit Ryan Caldwell also misses the game through a foot injury allowing Tim Barker steps up to partner Justin Harrison in the second row and Belfast Harlequins and Ulster A lock Lewis Stevenson is named on the bench for the first time. Lewis who is leaving Ulster to play at Exeter next season will be hoping to win his first cap for Ulster.

The Ulster players and management team will be determined to end the season with a win and have the opportunity to thank all the supporters for their continued support.

The next time Ulster will be in action will be August for the pre-season friendly against Leeds so get your Friday fix of rugby this week!

At half-time the winners of the Ulster Rugby Cash Prize Draw will be announced and there’s still time to be in with a chance of winning £250 - all supporters that pre-purchase their match tickets before 12 noon this Friday will be automatically entered into a draw to win the cash. Current season ticket holders won’t miss out either with one of them also winning £250 cash in a separate draw.

Tickets for the game are on sale online at http://www.ulsterrugby.com/ from the Ravenhill counter or over the telephone on 028 9049 3222 (10am - 12 noon).

The Ravenhill Gates open at 6pm and League sponsors, Magners, will be handing out free samples to over 18s from their wagon which will be situated in the main car park at Ravenhill.

The rugby action gets underway early with the final of the Girls Schools' Competition kicking off at 6pm. Over 40 schools entered the 10 aside tournament this year and it’s the under 18 teams from Antrim Grammar and Foyle & Londonderry College that will contest the final

Official drinks supplier to Ulster Rugby, Powerade have also offered up to kit bags stuffed full of Powerade goodies – watch out for members of the Powerade Events Team in the ground on Friday who will have details of how to enter the competition
