Ulster Rugby today confirmed that Irish Under 20's centre Darren Cave has re-signed a one year development contract.
Cave who recently turned twenty signed a development contract for Ulster in October 2006 for the current season having being involved in the Ulster Rugby Academy for just one year. Cave has an extensive list of age grade honours having represented Ulster and Ireland at Schools level and Ulster and Ireland at U19s. However Cave stresses the highlight of his career has to be this season and being part of the Irish Under 20s who won the 6 Nations Championship.
Cave is pleased to have signed his new contract and said this :
"I am really delighted to have signed for Ulster for one more year, this has been an amazing season for me having moved up from the academy to the senior squad and being part of the winning Irish U20s is definitely the highlight of my rugby career so far. I am pleased that the contract is signed and now I can continue enjoying playing rugby and being involved with Ulster. I am also pleased that the development contract allows me to continue studying for my degree"
