On Saturday night at a wet and windy Ravenhill, Ballyclare P6 mini-rugby team upstaged Brian O’Driscoll, David Humphries et al when they played Greystones, Co. Wicklow at half time during the sell-out Ulster v Leinster Magners League game.
Many of the neutrals at the ground commented on the skills and pace of Ballyclare’s mini team.  Ballyclare started with good work by Adam Blair, leading to a score for Michael Stevenson.  The second try came from a strong run by Andrew Rankin.  Then from a driving maul set up by James Reid, Conor Cambridge scored in the corner.  The last score in a superb 4-0 win was started by a run from Matthew Robson, and J.Douglas found Cambridge who got the outstanding try of the night. The Ballyclare boys all met messrs Humphries, Boss and Neil Best afterwards in a night to remember.
