Newforge Taggers is the first club of its kind in Ireland, catering for children with special needs and learning difficulties.
Training sessions commenced on Sunday 10th September and are running every Sunday at 9.30am at Newforge Country Club. The sessions are initially running over a six-week period ending on 22nd October and to date there are 25 members, with the numbers growing each week. More than 20 volunteers and coaches have worked with the IRFU (Ulster Branch) to ensure that all coaches have taken their Tag Rugby Qualification. The Newforge Taggers sessions are a safe and fun introduction to rugby and new members are encouraged to attend. For more information on the scheme phone: 028 9068 1027.
