Ulster Rugby will be handling its business as smoothly as its players handle the rugby ball thanks to a new IT partnership with Newtownabbey-based, Northgate Information Solutions.
As Ulster Rugby’s new official IT partner, Northgate is tackling the club’s IT infrastructure head on by providing a robust IT platform to support their growing business needs.  Upgrading and reconfiguring Ulster Rugby’s IT system to reflect the organisation’s expansion and restructuring, Northgate will also provide IT support and resilience to ensure the continued smooth running of the club and its customer-facing operations.

Simon Wallace, Ulster Rugby’s Commercial Manager, said, “Ulster Rugby is as much a business as a sports team and as we grow in size and stature, we require an IT infrastructure that supports our changing business needs.    As we are so customer facing, we cannot afford to be ‘out of action’ due to systems being down, so with Northgate’s support we will have a resilient IT solution that will consistently enable us to deliver a high quality service to our clients and supporters.”

Eleanor Lee, Marketing Manager, Northgate added, “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Ulster Rugby and having given the club an IT health check, we’ve developed and implemented an IT solution that best fits their current business requirements and future growth plans.

“Undoubtedly, technology plays a fundamental role in the running of any business, regardless of how big or small it is and as a local company Northgate is well positioned to build bespoke IT solutions for both single businesses, such as Ulster Rugby as well as big multinationals and the public sector.

“As Ulster Rugby’s official IT partner, we look forward to growing our relationship with the club and its supporters over the coming years and help the company achieve its business targets through the efficient use of technology.”
